Peer Review Process Steps

  1. Submission of Paper:  Authors submit their papers via the Open Journal System (OJS) or email (temporarily accepted).
  2. Editorial Office Assessment: The editorial team evaluates whether the paper aligns with the journal's scope, adheres to submission guidelines, and meets quality standards. Turnitin is used for plagiarism detection before proceeding to the review stage
  3. Appraisal by the Editor-in-Chief: The Editor-in-Chief assesses the paper’s originality, significance, and relevance. Papers that do not meet the required standards may be rejected without further review.
  4. Invitation to Reviewers: The handling editor selects suitable reviewers based on expertise while ensuring no conflicts of interest. A blind peer review process is applied.
  5. Response to Invitations: Invited reviewers assess the request and may either accept, decline, or suggest alternative reviewers.
  6. Review Process: Reviewers evaluate the paper and provide detailed feedback. Their recommendations may include acceptance, rejection, or revision (minor or major).
  7. Evaluation of Reviews: The Editor-in-Chief and handling editor analyze the reviewers' feedback before making a final decision. If there are significant discrepancies between reviews, an additional reviewer may be consulted.
  8. Decision Notification: Authors receive a decision email along with anonymous reviewer comments. Reviewers are also informed of the final decision.
  9. Final Steps:
    • Accepted papers proceed to the copy-editing stage.
    • Authors of papers requiring revisions receive constructive feedback for improvement.
    • Minor revisions may be reviewed by the handling editor without requiring resubmission to reviewers.
